Can you watch IPTV on Roku?
Yes, but not the way you would on Android. Roku only installs channels from its own store, so you cannot sideload IPTV apps. You have three options: an M3U player channel from the Roku Channel Store, mirroring or AirPlay from your phone, or plugging a small streaming stick into the TV’s HDMI port.
Way 1: an M3U player from the Roku Channel Store
- On the Roku, go to Streaming Channels › Search Channels and search “IPTV” or “M3U player”.
- Pick a player that supports M3U or Xtream (IBO Player Pro is a common one) and add it.
- Follow its steps to add your playlist; some players use a website and a device ID.

Way 2: from your phone
- iPhone: many Roku 4K models support AirPlay. Play the channel in your iPhone app and tap AirPlay.
- Android or Windows: use Screen Mirroring (enable it in Roku Settings › System › Screen mirroring).
Mirroring keeps your phone busy and can drop quality, so it is best for occasional viewing.
Way 3: plug in a stick
For daily viewing, a Fire OS stick, an Android TV box or a Chromecast with Google TV in a free HDMI port gives you the full app with a remote. Avoid Fire TV sticks with Vega OS (Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the newest Fire TV Stick HD): they cannot install apps from outside Amazon’s store.
